Srry, I'm really new with these alcohols things... So I'm just wondering for how long can we keep a Disaronno originale(after it has been open) and what would be the effect if someone is still drinking it after like two months or three?

Thanks

  1. Liqueurs like Disaronno can last months, even years, if stored properly (with the cap on and away from excessive heat & light). It will not get better in the bottle...any liquor that is aged is done so before it is bottled.

  2. Alcohol gets BETTER with age :)

  3. It will be fine for many months.  Most liquors store very well.  Any cream liqueur will need to be stored in the fridge though... just for once you are ready to venture into those boozes!

  4. Alcohol, even liqueurs like Disaronno, have a long shelf life.  You could keep it for years, so long as you store it properly.  If you leave it for too long, sugar particles will form in the bottom of the bottle, but even that is not bad: just shake the bottle until they dissolve.

  5. Why let good alcohol go to waste? Drink it all.

  6. It lasts a very long time while open since it has a high alcohol content.  Strong spirits don't rot.

Beer will go bad (lose carbonation) after being open for a 6 hours+.  Wine generally doesn't go bad persay after a few days open, but goes "sour" which makes it taste like vinegar.  Things like vodka and gin will last years.

Things like whiskey, if properly aged in barrells, are meant to be older since the flavor improves.

You've got nothing to worry about keeping the alcohol open (well, capped) for 3-5 months.  Enjoy!
