When we pose for portrait, are we like sitting ducks or sitting pretty?

how long do i have to sit still for a portrait? what if i need to use bathroom? pls. tell me what to do.

since you're a baby, you can sit like a duck and still look pretty. Don't bother with that testy photographer and just wail if you want to use the bathroom, mom will take you there am sure, but hey, aren't you in nappies?

Go to the bathroom before you have to take portraits. You dont have to sit still for a long time. Photographers try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. You only have to hold a pose for a couple seconds, then the photographer lets you relax. Dont be nervous. Just be relaxed and everything will go fine.

Portrait taking is so much easy then artists painting. Its hellufa bore to sit for hours... snap and its all over, the photographer does the magic after so its not a matter of time.

First of all, relax.  Don't go all stressed out.  It's your portrait and the photographer will do their best to help you relax to get the best results for the proofs.  Those are the pictures you choose your actual prints from for purchase.  If you have to excuse yourself to the restroom, simply say: "If you'll excuse me, I'll be right back"  and I'm pretty sure they'll know what you mean.  

Take a comb, brush, some makeup, even if you're a guy, you'll want to take the shine off your nose with a little "plain face powder"  which they may have depending on what type of studio you go to.  Most mall shops don't so take your own do-dads.  

Don't wear what top you're going to wear in the picture, don't want to get it wrinkled.  They have changing rooms.  Or just change in the restroom.  You'll probably be able to choose 3 choices of backgrounds, this is usual.  

A sitting fee is usually charged.  It goes in with the package most times.   A sitting normally only takes about 15 minutes.  It's the choosing and cropping and computer choices that takes the time.  good luck.
