  1. ummmm how about we try -

excess water usage - most of the time we only have water bans during the summer time ( yes right now in ga its been on for almost 9 mo ) but usually we run our water like crazy all months out of the year until we run too low - if we had constant restrictions we would be preserving water -

land space - recycling - the only thing that should be put into land fills is non recycables and food products - why isnt recycling mandatory - we tear down more trees than we plant - why ?

ocean water - from what ive been told growing up excess trash is dumped into the ocean ? why ? thats killing wild life - ( fish, turtles, im sure species have died or become endangeered becauses of things like these ) that is an effect in the enviornment i would think ( besides water pollution ) im sure the animals have a major role in our eco system whether its the consumption of one particular sea weed by one particular sea lion or fish that has become endangered and now that sea weed is over growing in another area which is why we no longer see this animal close enough to shore for our own consumption - ( just a long example i guess )

there are a million things you can not be stumped - - - - -

  2. Affecting every part, even the parts we we haven't explored and species we haven't identified.

  3. We humans are always effecting the environment and always have been. It's impossible to be alive and not cause some kind of effect to one's surroundings. The "environment" is everywhere; it's simply impossible to escape.

But maybe I'm being too literal. What you're really asking is, "How is human technology negatively impacting the biosphere?" Now that's a complicated answer, filled with much doom and gloom. Suffice it say that there are a wide range of opinions on the matter, but the scientific community generally agrees that, among other things:

    - We are helping to make the Earth warmer by burning greenhouse gasses. A warmer atmosphere means more chaotic weather patterns, melting ice caps, raising sea levels, species extinction, coral bleaching, and so on.

    - We are killing the oceans with over-fishing and pollution.

    - In many areas of the world, there is over-population. This means too many people with not enough to eat.

    - We are cutting down huge amounts of native forests all over the globe, replacing them with pastures for cattle and farmland. This is bad for many reasons because it kills off huge amounts of animal, plant, and insect species and also contributes to global warming and air pollution.

    - We are building cities and roads that push out other animal species till they have no where to live.

    - I could go on, but I hope you get the idea by now of how seriously we affect the very environment that sustains us.

  4. You have not given enough information. Why are we saying this without knowing what we are talking about?

  5. when we affect one part of the environment naturally the entire biogeocchemical cycle gets affected.suppose when one part of the foodchain suffers the other animals have to go through it too.thus it does not matter which part of the environment we are affecting but it does matter to see to it that we try to prevent it.
