  1. Dunno but it's natural and nothing to worry about

  2. yep, ive had that for years, its nothing to worry about, but you can have an ecg, to put your mind at rest.

  3. I get this.  Apparently it's got something to do with the brain thinking you might be dead/dying and sending a message to every nerve in your body.  Heard that on TV, not sure if it's true though.  It's nothing to worry about.

Found a bit more info, it's called a myoclonic jerk...

In its simplest form, myoclonus consists of a muscle twitch followed by relaxation. A hiccup is an example of this type of myoclonus. Other familiar examples of myoclonus are the jerks or "sleep starts" that some people experience while drifting off to sleep. These simple forms of myoclonus occur in normal, healthy persons and cause no difficulties.

  4. This is common, and often happens when we are close to falling into a deep sleep. Our body actually thinks it's falling...(bless it! lol), and jerks just as a natural reaction.

    It's weird lol.

  5. Is it like when u are half a sleep and all of a sudden you jump ?? i can recall that happening to me alot.. not sure why it is caused or anything

  6. Oh wow, I often get that feeling of falling and waking up suddenly when I'm half asleep, but I didn't know your heart skipped a beat..

    How weird

  7. your heart constantly slows as you fall further and further into sleep. the slowing heart rate and breathing give you a sense that you can float or sometimes fall. your heart doesn't actually skip a beat, it just goes from being very slow to very fast in a short amount of time when you jerk awake.

  8. My partner tells me i stop breathing

  9. when you were half asleep did ou dream that you were falling? it is naturally encoded in our dna to jerk when were asleep if we think we are falling from back in the days when we all slept in trees

  10. ive never heard of this...learned sumthing new

  11. This happens to me.

Good question 'cos i have no idea either.

    ;D

  12. yeah i have experienced this many times. loads of people get this. its nothing to worry about.
