  2. Flashing indicators in the early 1950s before that car's had "semaphore" indicators but don't know when they were introduced.

  3. When they first had cars on the road? At least they woulve used hand signals

  4. I would say hand-signals of right= stick your arm out straight, and left=bend it 90 degrees. People still use them today when their blinkers are out.
