  1. Depends on age, size, if the snake was wild caught, etc.

  2. they should only eat mice! NEVER cricets or grass hoppers. Start off with pinkies, then fuzzies, then hoppers, then small mice, then mice. You should only feed them about once a week when they are young and  add time slowly.

  3. I have seen them eat mice when they are hungry and healthy.

That was just a small one, though.

  4. Ball Pythons eat mice or rats depending on their size. Don't feed them anything bigger than they are round. If it is to big, they won't even try to kill it. We feed ours about once a week.

  5. They should eat once every 7-10 days and be fed pinkies, mice or rats based on their girth.  You can offer the rodents alive, but there is a chance that the snake might get injured during the constricting process, which is why many people choose to give thier snakes frozen/thawed feeder rodents instead.  It is also slightly more human to feed them frozen ones, but it is up to you.  However, if you do decide to feed the snake live mice/rats they should be stunned beforehand to lessen the chance of a bite.  Also, once you start feeding it a certain type you shouldnt change it, the snake might get confused if you switch from frozen to live food, or live to frozen.  Good Luck.

  6. They eat rodents like rats and gerbils

  7. Mice when they are hungry

  8. they should only eats rodents such as mice and rats(depending on size) start off on pinky's when they are babies, then move onto fuzzies, hoppers then onto small mice, mice, and when they are about full grown you can feed them small rats. rule of thumb is not to feed them anything larger than the largest part of there body. everyone has there own way of feeding there snakes i prefer one rodent a week therefore they are not hungry and your not overfeeding. remember snakes can die under there own girth.     hope this helps

  9. live mice or rats every 15 days

  10. Ball pythons can be notoriously picky eaters. My first one refused to eat for the first five months and was driving us to distraction. In the end we were advised to feed him on gerbils as this would have been their predominant prey species in the wild. We also had to place the gerbil in warm water for a minute before placing it in the vivarium in order to help the snake locate it, as the snake relies on the heat sensors on its upper lip to locate dinner.

Later we also found he was partial to the occasional hamster, and would only ever take a black rat (no other colour). Never could work that out
