  1. Temperatures are rising during the summer.  An increase in the ultra violet will cause more skin cancers which people will ignore until they metasize to other organs.

Really bad? Probably five or ten years.

Buy acreage in the country so that you can have a nice size vegetable garden and a pair each of cows and pigs.  Grow organic.

  2. Do a news search for "flood" in the past year. The increase in flooding is 100% related to global warming, as the south pole is melting away at an alarming rate, due to ozone layer depletion.

Things are really bad right now.

  3. It's bad because coastal flooding and damage to agriculture will cost hundreds of billions to fix.  It's far cheaper to reduce it some.

We don't know exactly when things will start to get really bad.  Most scientists say, 20-50 years.  It's a gradual thing, but very hard to stop once it gets rolling.

Lots of numerical scientific data proving it real here:

Proof that most scientists think it's real and mostly caused by us here:

  4. These alarmists now want us to pay for other countries.  It is nothing but money.  Look at Al Gore's recent pledge for 300 million dollars.  Look at his 30k utility bill and look at the millions he promised 'scientists.'

Note that this is the first time in history where scientists present a conclusion with little facts.  In the past, scientists merely presented facts for you to decide.  Now, you have a conclusion based on almost no facts whatsoever except for a fraction of a temperature change.

Doesn't anyone else find that very strange?

Yet we should respect 'this' science?

  5. Doctors and scientists around the world are becoming increasingly alarmed over global warming’s impact on human health. Abnormal and extreme weather, which scientists have long predicted would be an early effect of global warming, have claimed hundreds of lives across the US in recent years. Our warming climate is also creating the ideal conditions for the spread of infectious disease, putting millions of people at risk.

things are already really bad...wildfire...more intense rainstorms...deadly heat waves and the spread of disease...more powerful and dangerous hurricanes...sea-level rise...ecosystem shifts and species die-off, all of these things have already (partially)started to happen over the years, especially wildfires...all of these are results of global warming

  6. you should know its not real .. and just a means of wealth redistribution!!

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080401/ap_o...

Poor countries at a U.N. conference said Tuesday they won't sign a global warming pact unless industrialized nations guarantee them billions of dollars needed to adapt to the impact of climate change.

  7. First of all please ignore the first poster. The poor nations  are the ones in areas most at risk from climate change. In order to allow them to develop they will need money to invest in emission reducing technologies and the aim of many conferences and programmes lately is geared specifically to creating a compromise between development and emissions. It can be considered compensation seeing as the industrialized countries have place the environmental burden of their development on th poor countries.

Global warming is bad for humans because it creates a more hostile environment to live in. Without getting into the scientific explanations of thermohaline circulation or other such areas it will create extreme highs and lows of temperature in different areas. This will create additional windstorms due to unusual patterns of wind pressure. Rising sea levels will see massive increases in flooding and emperature shifts will kill off certain crops.

It is already really bad. 2005 saw 4 of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded and also saw hurricane Delta in the canaries which had never previously experienced such things. It was also the first ever year that they had to use the Greek alphabet to name storms after they ran out of letters.

  8. you should know that its a lie.
