When will Americans demand an amendment to limit terms of U.S. Congressmen and Senators?

In his book, Nobody's Perfect: A Critique of Modern American Society, Richard Glukstad discusses ways to make the country a better place for all, especially the middle class. Term limits on federal legislators can allow the dismantling of the corrupt collusion between business, industry, and government.

Probably never.  I don't want such an amendment.  I want to vote for the representatives that I believe is in the best interests of my state, as many times as I want.  I have no idea who Richard Glukstad is and put little stock in his opinions.

How about instead of using legislation to protect us from our own stupid a$$e$, we pay attention to what our representatives are doing, like responsible Americans, and hold those corrupt representatives accountable come election time.

Two-thirds or three-fifths of the Legislature would get on board, and that isn't going to happen.

As long as they are looking out for their constituents best interests, they can stay in power as long as they can win re-election.

THIS WILL HAPPEN THE DAY AFTER LOBBIES AND SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS CEASE TO INFLUENCE THE GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS. ANOTHER POINT CHECK HISTORY I BELIEVE THE SUPREME COURT HAS RULED TERM LIMITS TO BE UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE OUR POLITICIANS DO WHAT HAPPENED IN NOW RUSSIA. Well as long as the fox is in charge of the hen house, that's never going to happen, unfortunately.  I think alot of the corruption is due to the fact that some of these public office holders have been holding office way to long and have they their big fat hands too far into the cookie jar.

And the reason they don't give a F---K, is because they KNOW we the people CAN'T do anything about it.  THEY hold the power here NOT us. People will say 'just vote them out of office'. Right...we can do that, only they will be replaced with another Democrat or Republican with the same goals. Benefit themselves first then their party and to h**l with the people. After they are voted out of office, they become lobbyists for big oil and the like and are paid big bucks. Its a win, win for those pigs.
