We all know they are equally talented and don't really belong in MMA so they should put these two together for the circus entertainment value.

  1. A.  They're not equally talented. Brock is a former multiple time NCAA wrestling champion & has as much starting talent as umm....Josh Koscheck for example & you see how much of a beast he is. Kimbo's alright, but he would get destroyed by Brock in no time. Brock's somebody i don't think Kimbo could intimidate, Kimbo's not on Brock's level & probably never will be. Dana wouldn't let Brock fight somebody whose talent level isn't even near Brocks. it wouldn't even be a good fight. Brock wins by submission in the 1st round. Just because he can.

  2. The posters above are right. Unless Brock gets the boot or leaves UFC he will not fight Kimbo. Couture had to break his contract with UFC and go through h**l just to get a chance at Fedor. For the best to fight the best in that case I can see Couture going through the trouble. For Brock to fight Kimbo...sounds like a circus to me for one and too it is not even worth the trouble.

The fight I would want to see is Mir versus Kimbo. He beats him and gets the "Hype Killer" title or something lol. A fighter like Mir has the best chance at beating Kimbo. h**l we all saw what Thompson did to Kimbo on the ground. Imagine what Mir would do to him. Yet, Mir is under UFC as well.

If they throw brawlers at him he will mow through them. The only time we have seen him get beat in a brawling match was against Sean Gannon. Gannon just had more heart that day is all. It was proven that he "can" be beat in a slug fest. But. Gannon was a beaten mess and under any Mma supervision the fight would had been stopped.

As much as I hate to say though, anyone with talent will be gimped if they fight Kimbo in the Elite XC. I knew Kimbo was being protected by the orginzation to an extent. Being handed

easy fights, not letting him get put into any danger. But what I saw against Thompson really shows how much they are doing so. Thompson wasn't hurt enough to stop the fight. The round before he got rocked much harder and turned it around to when the round. In my opinion the ref was instructed to find any "reasonable" reason to stop the fight in Kimbo's favor. A busted cauliflower ear is nothing knew to the mma business. The combination of that and him taking a couple of hard shots

was just what that ref was waiting for. I am ranting a bit here and will cut that short there.

I am not a Kimbo hater nor am I a Kimbo fan. I love good fights, I am a fan of any fighter that can deliver good fights. Kimbo hasn't done that yet.

  3. Kimbo would light brock lesnar up with his stand up and ground and pound... Frank mir just underestimated his strength and knew he had good wrestling but his BJJ came through easy.

  4. It will never happen there from rival companies but Brock would destroy him Brock has talent and when he lost he lost to a great fighter Kimbo was given a gift against a 3rd rate fighter at best the EXC is a joke with fighters that couldnt make it in UFC

  5. On free TV  I agree but here is my problem .IDon't under estimate either but come on if you had to bet your house i bet you wouldn't bet on either. i like watching but if not for the hype do you really think they should have there name mentioned in the likes of st. Pierre Franklin, couture, liddell, Hughes, shamrock, or even Ortiz i could go on forever. let show the guys who earned the respect something by making everyone earn it

  6. Ya who has Kimbo fought, no one, and his last fight he should have lost. Did anyone else notice the referee was constantly telling Thompson to work when he was on the ground and stood them up more than once when Thompson was doing damage to Kimbo.

After Lesnar next fight he will have faced two top flight contenders and will have nothing to hang his head about if he loses.

  7. Brock would kill Kimbo, literally kill him. Lucky for Ferguson he only fights bums and steers clear of danger, and had the good sense to avoid UFC where you have to prove yourself..

  8. They are in two different companies so its not going to happen any time soon.

  9. While Brock Lesnar does have more experience by wrestling, that is easily offset by Kevin Ferguson's experience as a street fighter. Neither have enough MMA experience to fill a spitbucket.

The difference between Lesnar and Ferguson? When Lesnar gets into trouble and can't escape a basic move (kneebar), he taps, takes his payoff and lives to fight another day, uninjured. It's very good and smart technique, what a good MMA fighter should do.

When Ferguson gets in trouble and can't escape a basic move (guillotine choke, side control), HE IS TOO STUPID TO QUIT. He is big enough and tough enough to absorb the punishment until his opponent gets tired of beating his brains in, and tries to do something else.

Because of this, Kevin Ferguson is a MUCH MUCH more dangerous opponent in the ring. Putting Lesnar and Ferguson in the ring, Ferguson could quickly overwhelm Lesnar with sheer physical ability, and I doubt Lesnar has enough practical experience to try to escape it. Given Ferguson's proven ability to take a beating and then still have some left in the tank to give a beating back, I don't see this going past two rounds before Ferguson wins by a TKO due to repeated strikes.

  10. 1. Never.

    2. Lesnar has the skill set to be a champ. He's massive, a national champ at wrestling, huge hands and tremendous cardio, although he probably won't ever need it. In a couple years, with further training and more experience, he could be a champ. Herring better sharpen his texas jiu-jitsu for their fight because he's in a ton of trouble.

    3. Kimbo has limited skills. He's not a terribly big HW, he has no formal background, he has some excellent punching power, but almost no ground game.

If James Thompson can keep him down at will and beat on him, how the h**l could he possibly beat Lesnar?
