Okay. so I got braces last saturday. It's not that painful when I chew my food at the side, but when I try biting using my front teeth, it feels like the wire and brackets are gonna snap out of my teeth. How long till I would get to eat normally?

I really want a burger. :|

  1. I'm not really sure but I'm getting braces on today and from what i here your mouth fells really tight and painful especially for the first week!!so i would think in a well or tow it shouldn't be to bad!!!

  2. I know exactly how that felt. I ate my first slice of pizza about 3 weeks after. You can already consume soups and salmon and fish, but be careful around meat and cut everything up into small pieces.

Don't worry- I'm so comfortable with mine now, I can already sneak a chip once in a while! (Yeah, I'm not supposed to... but can't resist.)

  3. hahahahahahahahahahahahah

sry had to laugh! now you know what it feels like:P

you can't eat anything hard like apples or carrots. try eating with your side teeth. sounds weird but it works cus the brakets in the side molers are stronger the front....sorta.

as for the burger, just get used to the braces for a while and then you can eat it. but i warn you eat with caution! the last thing you want to happen is the braket falls off and you end up swallowing it :D

ooo when you get rubberbands its gonna be harder to use your back teeth. (depends if they took out some teeth before you had them put it)

be happy. oh and let me guess the color of rubberbands you got are red right?

  4. Usually about a week-2 weeks after you get your braces. You can still eat a burger, just rip it off and chew with your back teeth. Don't bite into it.

  5. it really depends how tight your braces are it could be this week or next week
