  1. Maybe never!

Current fuel cells are very expensive and probably will never be available for a retrofit in old vehicles. In the next year or so  you will probably  see hydrogen generators available for installation,  but your local oil change place is probably afraid of lawsuits and will be slow in offering any aftermarket device.

Why is using hydrogen from water as an additive to burn gasoline more efficiently so poorly understood?

    Hope this helps

  2. If you read and read some more, you will find that the sites selling the intake hydrogen injection systems are using a Mason Jar, some wire, and water to produce a very small amount of hydrogen.  In fact the amount is so small it really isn't enough to make any difference in gasoline use!  Then if you look even closer you will see that if it were enough hydrogen to produce much power, you are dumping an explosive gas into an intake to your engine... which if the engine were to just backfire slightly would --- well blow your hood off! Does that really sound like a good idea?

A better solution is indeed to use hydrogen, but until there is some way to efficiently have enough hydrogen to really burn, or add to the gas system, it really is not practical.

If these things really worked, every oil change place, every car dealer, everyone everywhere would be offering them. In fact I would suggest they would come installed on every new car! They don't because the devices simply don't work! They do make money for those selling them!
