Question:

When will I start to grow sideburns

I'm nearly 16 and can grow a moustache and hair on my chin. I usually shave every 1-3 days, and the hair seems to grow back fairly quickly. However, I am not growing sideburns and wonder when people generally begin to grow these, in comparison with the growth of facial hair altogether.

I began puberty early at about 11 and have completed the pubic hair cycle around my genitals, with them growing on the top of my legs too. I also have a few hairs growing around my pecks and a snail trail, if that helps.

When do you think my sideburns will begin to grow, and could I do anything to hurry them along?

  1. Hurry!  Hurry!  Hurry!  Why must you live your life in such a hurry?  When you shave, don't shave up close to where sideburn hairs will sprout.  If you keep shaving them off - they'll never peep out.

  2. It's hard to tell, because everyone is different.

You can know more in the following link about your facial hair.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Sounds like you are getting close to having the sideburns fill in.

How otherwise hairy is your face and that of your relatives?  Some guys never get sideburns, as their facial hair is just sparse there.

I never had great sideburns, but had a full beard for several years.  It just depends.
