  1. Todays newspaper says that the water is being diverted into the ganga

  2. Indian rulers and politicians are the worst criminals in the world. Even after 61 years of independence we have not tamed the rivers. It is common knowledge that many middle and southern states of India have no water or rivers worth its name.

They should have built huge lakes, ponds and interconnected the rivers so that during floods the excess water would have found ways to go to places where it is required dearly.

But we will not do anything and fight to keep the water to our self and waste the water because the concerned state government will lose its sovereignty over the water/river.

1200 years ago a great Chola emperor built a earthen dam in Tamil Nadu which is helping the state even today. Incidentally Tamil Nadu does not have any rivers of its own worth its name.

All big rivers are in North India and nobody bothers about the river unless there is drought or floods.

The best solution is to inter connect all the rivers of India.

  3. If the guv had any  plan to do so it wouldn't have waited for the tragedy to happen!

  4. Probably the same time they stop worshiping that giant icicle in Amaranth and get out of Kashmir.

  5. Citizens of both nations should play a part by lobbying their government to do so.
