As someone that enjoys RU, but being a non-techno, I enjoy the game.

I think Italy were brave to join in the 5-Nations as the new kids on the block. To me, they are gaining strength by the year.

When, or will, they be serious contenders in the 6-Nations?

(Please don't give me any techno - just will they make it - and when).

  1. I don't think they will ever have the numbers-enough Italians aren't playing regularly at the highest level of club Rugby.

  2. Never. The Italians are too worried about making a mess of their hair to play any serious sport.

  3. I think they will become serious contenders within the next 3 years as their players gain experience with big european clubs.   On their way up they will pass England on their way down.

  4. When they have a top flight league in Italy that can produce teams with homemade players, that can compete in the Heinikan cup(RU European cup) for club sides

  5. i dont think it will be long before italy become a great team, they got strength and pace but just cant find that last couple of inches to win a game

  6. I think the italians have a good furture ahead of them just like the italian soccer team. They jus need more practice like any other sport practice make perfect and the italians will hopefull get better

  7. They have beaten Wales once (in 2003 when Wales didn't win a single game!) and Scotland twice, but that is it.

Their forwards are now much more competitive, but they need more in the backs to become serious contenders.

  8. The way they are playing now, I would say not for a very long time.
