  1. Actually soccer is the most popular sport in the world.  In the United States it is the 4th most popular sport behind football, baseball, and basketball. In 2006 the MLS had a record braking 92,650 spectators to a soccer game held at the Los Angeles Coliseum.  The 90,000 fans that packed the Rose Bowl in 1999 Women's World Cup Final was the largest crowd in world ever to watch any women's sporting event.  I hate to tell you, but just because YOU don't like soccer doesn't mean the rest of the US mirrors your feelings.  Sorry!

  2. What are you talking about? It is very popular in Latin America yes. But...it is also very popular here. I mean come on professional bowling..you'd rather watch that! Just because it isn't interesting to you does not me all of the U.S. hates it because that is not the truth.

  3. Even some americans dun realize it coz they spend loads of money to send David Beckham to the States.

  4. In the international arena the word is 'Football,' hence the FIFA acronym.

Second, the US can do without football and just stick to American Football or Baseball; however, they feel terribly left out in the World Cup (which is the envy to the Super Bowl broadcast organisers).

No one is cramming anything down your throat, it’s just that football is a wonderful sport and more and more people are enjoying it.

Here’s a question for you! Why on earth do they call it the World Series when only two countries play?????

  5. White owners of the U.S pro soccer league spend millions on David Beckham; not latin american people.  Also, soccer still is the most popular sport in the world.

Many other countries also dont' like American football; Most people dont' travel or learn of other cultures.  Again, you dont' have to watch it but its the white owners hopes of tons of money that is shoving it down your throat.

  6. Soccer's catching up!

It's a sport of the world, which can be enjoyed by poors and riches.

You should try to watch great players playing.

It's graceful, flowing, and .. wow.. you'll like it.

  7. Hey Beckham welcome to America
