  1. I agree with 229time and Killa S.

    read 229time answer real closely.

My Top 3 MVP Candidates for 08-09 season:

    1. Kobe

    2. T-Mac

    3. Yao or leBron.

  2. No he wont because elmo will win

My Top 3 MVP Candidates for 08-09 season:

    1. Elmo

    2. Cookie monster

    3. Bert

  3. right now its impossible to tell, i think that it will be:

    kobe

    lebron

    cp3

    wade

    t-mac

in no particular order for the top 5 in the voting

  4. With that team he's on? the Cavaliers? Unless he gets a better supporting cast Chris Paul might win one before Lebron does. D-Wade might get one before he does. Did you see how hard Lebron had to work last season just to get his team through the season to the playoffs? He had career highs in every catagory and still lost to Kobe in the MVP race. He would have to have the best record in the East to even be mentioned for MVP. Otherwise, I don't see him winning that award for another 4 years.

  5. Well that's impossible because Kobe got his this year, but this year might very well be LeBrons year. He obviously has the stats and the talent to get it his just needed a proper supporting cast strong enough to finish with around 60 wins. With the addition of Mo Williams and the development of players like Gibson, Varejo, and Sasha, 2009 very well might be his year for his first of many.

  6. 1. Kobe

    2. CP3

    3. Lebronze

ROFL, 229time, didn't I just see a post from you mocking how Kobe said the MVP was a team effort? And now you say the Heat just need the wins? LMAO you hypocrite!

    Think Happy Thoughts!

  7. -As soon as his team gets enough wins, his stats are their they just need more wins.

-D-Wade is a good canidate, considering how miserable the Heat season was last year, Chris Paul, will have higher expectations considering how well his team did last year.

-I think even T-MAC has to be a serious contendor, considering the Rockets should do good next year. He will be like KG last season, as I like to call it the "KG effect" get on a good team, personal stats drop, All of sudden he is a MVP canadiate and wins the DPOY award. And Dwight Howard should be a serious contendor as well, and who knows don't be suprised if Elton Brand can get in the race for contention.

Dloser: ??? I don't think that was me, sorry: I've stated many times that the MVP is no longer the best All-around player. Think Happy Thoughts!

  8. I think he will get it in next 5 years .. if his team can win 50 or more games

My top 3 MVP Candidates for 08-09 season:

    1. Kobe ( only if Lakers wins 65 or more games )

    2.CP3

    3.D Wade

  9. Your candidates are pretty good, but no one has mentioned Kevin Garnett as a possible MVP candidate, he and the Ray Allen aquisitions put Boston back in the equation last year with their play, and his numbers weren't even the best they could be, and he still finished what, third in voting. I expect him to average more points and rebounds then he did last year, and he will put up just as good of defensive numbers. What makes him so Valuable to the Celtics was his defense and team leadership, and MVP is not the best player award, it is the player who makes a difference and a player who a team could not compete without.

Possible MVP candidates in my opinion, in no specific order would be Kevin Garnett, LeBron, Kobe, Paul, Elton Brand, he could make Philly one of the teams to beat in the East, and probably Dwyane Wade

    these are my opinions

as far as your question goes, i think that Lebron will win an MVP before Kobe gets another, LeBron carried the cavaliers through the playoffs before a loss to the Celtics, and he brought them to the Finals almost single handedly 2 years ago.

  10. If he stays in cleveland then no.

Why? No matter how much he tries to do it himself, he cannot get the mvp by himself.  Its been proven.  Look at kobe, SINGLE HANDEDLY carry his team to the play offs.  And there was one season where he avg 35 ppg including an 81 point game that season.

MVP is all about winning.  Lebron cannot win without a supporting cast so he  cant win mvp

  11. If Lebron can get descent record he may have a shot.  But the 3 games over 500 is not gona cut it.

  12. it shouldn't matter when they get their MVP trophy, i wouldn't give if i got it 13 years later. but yes i do agree with lebron winning in 2-3 years

    08-09 candidates

    lebron, cp3, kobe

heat are still a young team and aren't getting very far this year, maybe wade in a few more years

  13. If You Take Note You Would Realize That Every Year At Least Five Players Are Good Enough To Be MVP And Sometimes The Best player Does Not Get It Sometimes Other Things Factor In On The MVP Decision Like Best Win Record Which Really Is A Team Effort. Sometimes Players Are Just Lucky To get That Teammate That Makes their Game Stand up Better Against The Competition Etc. Etc.You Get The Drift So You Might Be Disappointed A Lot When It Comes To Wanting Your Player To Get The MVP Trophy (Good Luck)

  14. 1.T-Mac

    2.CP3

    3.Kobe

Artest will make T-Mac's life so much easier because now he won't have to constantly fight double teams on the perimeter not to mention the fact that between Battier and Artest T-Mac will never have to defend tough guards like Kobe.
