It’s been nearly over a week now, and the Portuguese forward’s “sadness” is still bothering the football world, what is it that’s really bothering him, and how long are we going to have to stop everything just because he’s sad?
Does he want to leave? Does he want a higher salary? Is Mourinho not patting him on his back enough? Whatever it may be, the 27-year-old Portuguese forward has left teams, fans and even reporters in a perplexed state.
After scoring two goals, of which one was his 150th for Los Blancos, in the 3-0 victory over Granada last weekend, reporters were anxiously waiting to question the football player about his achievement.
However, to their surprise, all they got was a grimacing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 who stated, “I’m sad, when I don’t celebrate goals it’s because I’m not happy.” When asked why he was feeling sad, Ronaldo replied with, “It’s a professional thing, Real Madrid know why I’m
not happy.”
He’s sad, it’s for professional reasons, and the club knows about it. Naturally, when you let these three facts be known to the media, rumours about your unhappiness are bound to follow, especially relating to your transfer.
So now we sit on a bunch of rumours, primarily to do with, him moving away from Madrid, wanting more money, some more time under the spotlight, or maybe all three.
After the rumours started to settle in, Ronaldo decided to make his situation even more vague by tweeting, “I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case.”
However, he also attempted to take the heat off of the transfer news by tweeting, that he is still dedicated to winning trophies and championships and that he has “too much respect” for himself and for Real Madrid to not do his utmost best for the club.
Despite his statement, rumours about him leaving the club and looking for other teams have not ceased. There have been rumours that Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has pleaded to the club owners to “bring Ronaldo home,” no matter how much the Portuguese forward costs.
Even though he’s scored 151 goals for Madrid, and is thought to be one of the best players in La Liga (it’s either him or Messi, and this debate is one that will never end), the Portuguese’s dream move does not seem to be all that it was cracked out to be.
However, a move to United is highly unlikely, at least any time soon.
If the Portuguese player wants a bit more attention that could result in a bit more cash heading his way, a move to United is not the route he will take.
It also seems unlikely that United or any club is going to be able to afford the player, with Spain’s new release clause laws, it is extremely difficult to be lucrative enough to buy the player.
Some are however sure, that if anything else, Ronaldo wants is causing this uproar because he wants a more lucrative stay in Madrid, or as Alfredo Relano, editor at Madrid-based sports newspaper Diario AS, put so bluntly, “He wants more money.”
However, if Ronaldo is looking for a new contract, then with the new tax rate rules that have come into being, Madrid may be pressured into providing him with it.
Whatever his reasons may be, the Portuguese is in the limelight, and undoubtedly loves every minute of it.
Ronaldo is possibly the most in-demand player, and if he’s looking for a new club, which he states he is not, there are going to be a lot of big, rich, strong clubs standing in line.
