I was wondering when the airplane company will begin to start to fly to the U.S.? I heard that it will be possibly sometime in 2009 or 2010, but I was wondering if anyone had anymore additional information?

  2. Hopefully never. We don't want the likes of Michael O'Leary here in the US.

  3. Ryanair's CEO, Michael O'Leary, has stated that he has no plans for Ryanair to fly transatlantic. In 2007, he talked about starting an entirely new airline to fly transatlantic by 2010 or 2011. However, there has been no word that he has actually started that process.

Frankly, I doubt that it will happen. The super-low fare model does not work on long haul flights. Just ask the thousands of stranded customers of Zoom Airlines, which just went broke last week trying to offer low fares to the US and Canada.
