  1. More and more jobs are leaving our country because with government mandated employment laws, the employer can't control his costs and earn.  If the employer can't earn he is going to shut down.  It is unfortunate that many great jobs have left the United States.  I am an employer of a small business and the perks my employee's earned and are entitled to have been shifted to additional expenses to keep my doors open and their wage is vital to my employees it is better than nothing.  My employee's are hero's, they want jobs they work hard and it's neither their fault nor mine that expenses have increased four times what it was two years ago....and "perks" for now can not be afforded.

  2. Temporary workers never get the same benefits as permanent employees.  Unfortunately, that is why a lot of jobs continue to be "contracted" rather than made permanent: so the employer can cut costs by not having to pay benefits of any kind.

  3. You work for an agency.  The agency has a contract with the company to supply workers which it does.  the agency then agrees to pay you a wage per hour which you accept by taking the job. The agency then charges the company your wage per hour and adds some more on so that they can stay in business as an agency. As long as your being paid the minimum wage in the UK no law says you are entitled to a pay rise.

Not all permanent workers receive perks.
