Question:

When will Yahoo! Music be updated to at least equal MusicMatch?

I've finally switched from MusicMatch since Yahoo! bought them and retired the superior jukebox. When will they be updating YMJ? I really miss the ability to load album art, the much better organization of artists, albums and titles, the ease of seeing at a glance how many songs I had, the ability to see subtotals by artist and album on things like total time (album time, total time of all songs by an artist), and more.

  1. never

MMJB was the best media player, and people are realising the move is a downgrade from what the MMJB  purists users are use to. Yahoo say you will maintain your customer status.

be aware Many MusicMatch purists are disappointed that Yahoo has stripped the latest Jukebox of some of its best features like file renaming and consider the migration anything but an upgrade, the migration IS a downgrade.

Mayb yahoo will realise they need to upgrade it, to the same status as MMJB, when the users do not use it anymore.

In yahoo's FAQ's about MMJB they neglect to tell you it is a downgrade. > http://www.musicmatch.com/YMJ/faq.htm

Yahoo does not look after its users, unless you pay $$, even then the migration is still a downgrade.

  2. i hope they improve it

    Best solution

    Try alternative players

  3. It's good to know that I'm not the only one having serious issues with this. At least there's a little comfort in knowing I wasn't the only person who got screwed!

  4. I'm glad my MMJB 10 still works.   Since I canceled the subscription portion of yahoo jukebox , theres not much point in sticking with it.  So glad I didnt opt for the endless upgrade fee.

  5. I just migrated from MusicMatch myself.  Loved their jukebox and never had a problem being cut off or ends of songs chopped off.  Yahoo! has a long way to go.

  6. I agree.  The new Yahoo player is a piece of c**p.  What were they thinking?  No wonder Google is beating the c**p out of them.

I paid for a full-featured MusicMatch Jukebox originally and very recently PAID for an upgrade.  I was perfectly happy with what I had.  Now, I either have to use the Yahoo c**p (which I don't and never will unless they fix it), or revert back to MMJB 10, which runs like c**p now, taking forever to come up, hanging up with routine burn requests, etc., etc.

I would appreciate someone from Yahoo expaining what in the h**l is going on here.

  7. I don't think they will, which really is a pain in the ....

I bought MMJB many years ago with all feature upgrades, which now of course does not mean a thing anymore.

Yahoo Jukebox really is not worth installing. I used MMJB mainly because it had the option to record without time limit directly in to MP3 files, good to transfer all LP's tapes and other audio files into digital MP3 files.

No longer available now with YahooJB.

Only downgraded to YJB because MMJB was giving me error messages every time I started it up. But I will have to go back and find a copy of MMJB to install.
