When will advertising cease?

we all have been seduced by this phenomenon called advertising. Do we really need anymore?

When the economy goes bad and we're no longer working and making money.

Not until people stop buying what's advertised, or companies stop worrying about profits.  In other words, never.  You'd be amazed at the difference in sales volume that is achieved simply by advertising a product or service.

When people stop buying and stop creating new ideas. It has evolved into such an industry that it won't die out.
