Question:

When will enough rain be "enough?"

Throughout Britain, healthcare agencies are putting in place expensive plans for "heatwaves," which they say threaten the lives of thousands of people this summer. Environmental agencies are warning of "drought."

During a couple of days of mild sun 3 months ago, Britain was full of moaning people who wanted rain. They got it. It has rained, at times for 9 or 10 hours a day, throughout August, often torrentially, leaving 2 cities waterlogged and thousands homeless. As a runner, I can hardly train, sustaining 2 injuries slipping on the sodden ground. My laundry bill is rising as each time I go out more clothes are drenched beyond use. My mother grows and sells plants for a living, those which need a lot of water are thriving (giving the lie to the "shortage" brigade) while those that don't have rotted beyond repair.

Yet still people are complaining if we have so much as one day of sun - usually the same people who can afford to go jetting off to Spain or Greece. When will they be satisfied?

  1. I know, when will it end, I was in Dublin last weekend and it piissed down and caused floods, mind you I was in the pub so I didn't give  a shiite.

  2. I hardly go abroad, yet I cannot stand the hot weather. I live in London and today the weather is just perfect!

The only small reason I like the hot weather is because I can dress in a cute/s**y way hehe.

  3. Personally, it will be when I see Noah going past in his Ark.

It's about time we had another purge of the evil doers in this sick world.

I know what you are thinking, what about me- surely I'd drown too? Well, if I'm judged a sinner, then yes I will. If not, I'll have to snuggle in with the animals (pooh- smelly!).

Or maybe I'll surf it out!

  4. Rain water should be preserved in some sort of container for every house in the country, its an expensive project but if the government gets behind it, when things get really sticky perhaps 50-75 years from now, they will be ahead in the large scheme of things.

Environmentally friendly arguments however in Britain with regards to Parliament are not always at the forefront of their discussions.

  5. Go to the gym.
