When will governments and major news media begin to expose the AGW Fraud?

Governments and media now seem to be mostly silent on the issue, especially the science. Even Fox news seems to have very little to say on the matter. Are they afraid they might be wrong and are "pleading the fifth?"

The truth is coming out slowly. More and more scientist are now coming out against the theory. Even some tv shows (not in USA) are starting to show some cracks in the armor.

Also, as more of the politicians try and enact these Carbon taxes, people will begin to realize the sham. Throw in the fact that the globe has been in a cooling phase for 10 years, and would appear to continue due to the sun, people will realize the lie.

Let's see...

Governments - theoretically in the business of doing the best for the citizens who elected them...

The media - theoretically in the business of telling people about what is going on...

Yet neither of them are talking about, or doing anything about a fraud, a hoax, a scam, a conspiracy of international proportions!!

Astounding, really, astounding.

The simplest, easiest (and incidentally most truthful) explanation is:

They aren't talking or acting or exposing the fraud because there isn't one! No fraud, no hoax, no scam...

"Even Fox News" as if Fox somehow epitomises unbiased, global reporting! You say Fox doesn't have anything much to say about the 'hoax'. Well guess what, neither does the BBC, the CBC, AL-Jazeera, Pravda, Die Welt, Du Monde, ABC, AP, Belgca, CP, Tass, SABA, Reuters... the whole world is ignoring this 'hoax'. Don't you think that someone, somewhere, would want to win the Pulitzer prize by blowing the whistle on the 'hoax'?

The only reason the world's media is not saying anything is becuase there's nothing to say except the truth:

The planet is warming up.

This is causing all sorts of odd weather and a general change in the climate.

Human beings are primarily responsible for this.

This is what is being reported around the world, and not the alleged hoax, because this is what happens to be true. You not wanting it to be true doesn't change the facts.

Worldwide, every major scientific agency or institution that studies climate, oceans or the atmosphere agrees that the global climate is warming rapidly and the primary cause is greenhouse gas emissions related to human activity. Even a short list would include such notable organizations as:

The idea that global warming is a hoax picked up some support in the political realm in July 2003, when U.S. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla), former chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, concluded a long speech on the Senate floor with these words:

“With all of the hysteria, all of the fear, all of the phony science, could it be that man-made global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people? It sure sounds like it.”

Even in 2003, Inhofe’s claims couldn’t stand up to much scrutiny. Today, the senator would find it even harder to rally political support for the notion that global warming is a hoax.

When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its report on The Physical Basis of Climate Change in February 2007, 113 nations immediately endorsed its conclusion that human activity is responsible for the acceleration of global warming since the beginning of the Industrial Age.

In January 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives created a new Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, and Republicans and Democrats in both the House and the Senate have introduced legislation to curb greenhouse gas emissions significantly over the next few decades.

It’s not only the majority of scientists and politicians who accept the reality of human-caused global warming. Leading businesses across all industries also acknowledge the problem of global warming.

The U.S. Climate Action Partnership, an unprecedented alliance between corporate executives and environmental groups that launched in January 2007 has proposed a federal cap-and-trade program that would cut greenhouse-gas emissions 60 percent to 80 percent by mid-century.

Even more telling, perhaps, are the positions taken by some oil companies.

BP, the largest oil company in the UK and one of the largest in the world, has this to say about global warming:

“There is an increasing consensus that climate change is linked to the consumption of carbon based fuels and that action is required now to avoid further increases in carbon emissions as the global demand for energy increases.”

And Shell Oil says:

“Shell shares the widespread concern that the emission of greenhouse gases from human activities is leading to changes in the global climate.”

To make the case that global warming is a hoax, someone would have to believe that environmentalists and political liberals control businesses and industries worldwide as well as the legislative bodies and scientific institutions of every developed nation in the world. That would be a hard case to make.

Did you know that the Live Earth concert to "save the planet" released more Co2 into the atmosphere than every SUV in America?

Or that estrogen from birth control and "morning after" pills is causing male fish across America to develop female s*x organs - and that environmentalists, who are overwhelmingly "pro-choice," have helped cover it up?

Or that the #1 killer in Africa today today isn't AIDS, but malaria -- thanks to environmentalists who banned the pesticide that used to have the disease under control?

It's all true - but you'd never know it from watching Al Gore's Oscar-winning documentary.

Government and scientist both have conflicts of interest that may keep this myth alive of awhile.

The gvmt funds "global warming" scientist, essentially buying science form these people then using the data as an excuse to raise taxes and to limit individual freedoms.

The "scientist" now depend on this money as they have mortgages and kids to put through college.  They have see what happened to their colleges who don't give the gvmt the data they are looking for.

It won't be until independent scientist, or more likely from scientist from other countries who will be making the break through discoveries that start to unravel the AGW fiction.

Have you considered the possibility that almost everybody has accepted the scientific reality of AGW, and that your conspiracy theory is no more plausible than aliens at area 51 and the moon landing being staged?

You can't expose what does not exist.

*edit* no offense but I don't really care what you or the half-dozen people you talk to think.  There are 6 billion people on the planet, and approximately 80% of them accept the science behind AGW.

The foundation of AGW is in scientific evidence, not concrete.  If you can't understand it or refuse to accept it, that doesn't make it any less solid.  The opinions of experts trump the opinions of laymen.
