When will i receive my finacial aid?

i filled out my fafsa on time, but i just registered for classes today. everyone else i know who has registered for classes already received their checks about how long will it take to receive my check. i need to buy books....

It varies with different people. Some people received their checks before school starts, while some will receive it as late as 2 weeks after school starts.

You can check up with your school's financial aid office to see if they have mailed out your check already. They can easily check when your check might arrive.

If you need to buy books some bookstores at some colleges let you charge book during a certain time if your aid is pending. Make sure you filled everything out okay and make sure they have all the documents. Financial aid doesnt usually tell you these things so you have to stay on them about it. The financial aid office at my college knew me! Just keep asking, call if you cant go up there. Just remember they have over 1,000 other aid cases to deal with so they do get forgetful. Good Luck!
