When will i stop bleeding?

I recently had my second child and at my 6 week checkup i got the iud mirena put, in ever since then ive been bleeding the doctor says its normal but i dont think it is. I really want it but it is also ruining my relationship with my partner. When I was pregnant the last 4 months or so we had no intercourse because it hurted me and when the baby was born he had a operation so we really havent had any time for anything, then now that i got mirena put in thinking everything was going to change for the better its not its worst, I know I shouldnt worry about my relationship but comon we are all huimans here and we all need affection : ) what can i do to stop bleeding ive bleed for over 2 weeks non stop HELP!!

  1. Bleeding--anything from spotting to period-like bleeding--is normal when starting any kind of birth control. It should subside when your body gets used to the hormones, anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

  5. Why are you asking strangers for advice when the dr. told you that it is normal. If your husband loves you he understands. Besides there are other things you can do to releive his "pressure" and show your love for him. I am sure he will appreciate it.
