when an interstate team wins another grand final i reckon its gonna eb a long time with all the victorian teams improving except for melbourne say the imprvign ones are hawtorn bulldogs essendon carlton collignwood with theri young list

proably an interstate team will win in say the year 2024

dude it could be in the nest few years. theres port well they still have a chnace freo have up and coming players and so do others but sydney are gone for about 40 years

We in the west could refer to Victorian teams as "interstate"....the Croweaters could do the same etc.....

It's all right "interstaters", we'll let the Victorians have the limelight for a couple of years and then we'll be back to dominate for another decade or so.

Its only fair we let them catch up a bit after all in the last 10 Grand Finals  the score is Interstates 7  Victorians 3 .

So with 10 Vic sides and 6 interstates well they have a lot of catching up to do.

All the interstaters may not be within the eight or playing well but within the next five years or so dont you worry they will be out there and dangerous, freo and west coast are rebuilding and have good players that shall provide well inthe future, and the adelaide crows look to be in hot form!

**Who knows.  Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't at least four interstate teams (Port Adelaide, West Coast, Adelaide and Sydney) make the finals last year?  Anything can happen in a season of footy and I wouldn't be surprised if an interstate teams pops up in a grand final in the next year or so.  Time will tell I guess.**

1) Isn't Juuuuuuddddddyyy a West Australian ... I could be wrong but it seems an ironic question.

2) I wouldn't get too full of ourselves just yet.  My team has 20 from 21 and two interstate teams worry me a little (Swans and Crows - the latter far more than the former)

3) with football communism the way it is, these things will go around in circles for many years to come.  Lose and you win, win and you lose.  I'd be amazed if we ever see the sort of dominance of the Carlton's and Collingwood's of the 50's and 60's again (at least while the draft system is as it is)

Doubt an interstate team this year but next with Adelaide, West Coast and Brisbane all showing strong young lists ... don't be too quick to mock.
