That his "little" girl grown up already. I'm 16.

My Dad always says that me and my twin sister aren't getting dating untill we're 22. It gets really annoying. Like, can't he understand were not 8 anymore? Is it that hard or what..

I don't want my Dad to see me hang out with guys because i dont know..it's embarrassing. I don't go out much, mostly on school days(it's summer here)

My parents are divorced btw, and i mostly live with my Dad.

thanks for the help!

  1. Well, your dad see's you as his little girl. He guess he has been brought up to protect. If he has a sister it will explain a lot. Just talk to him explain how you feel, explain that your mature and you love that he is protective but you feel like you have no freedom. Hopefully he will see it right..

    Good luck hunnie x x x

p.s shia labeouf is soo hot!

  2. hmm.. actually your dad is trying to be a good dad.. he was a teenager once too and he knows what's on boy's minds at that age . you may think that 16 is grown up ,and in so many ways it is. however there is alot you and your sister have to experience and learn, maybe if you seem less boy-crazy he would lighten up, or if you are allowed to go on dates ,make it a double date with friends and or your sister.and be home on time.show him you can be trusted to do the right thing. you mention hanging out with boys, are ya'll just hanging at the mall or hanging at somebody's house with no adults around?  please believe me hanging out with no adults around is asking for trouble on so many different levels. also when dad is not busy ,ask him if ya'll can talk about stuff and find out what his worries are and what his rules are and work with that. also with school starting up there will be plenty of things to do that involve girls and guys in a group setting ,, that would be best .. ask yourself .. if you were a mom would you approve of.... what ever it is you are thinking about doing. and if you would not approve of your daughter doing whatever. then you have your answer right there
