When will my baby start smiling?

He turned one month old on Aug. 18th, but he was 4 weeks premature.

When should he start smiling?

each baby is different.. dont rush things.. and the longer you wait for something the greater it will be..

The first smile my son gave that was not gas related was around 7 or 8 weeks.  Before that, I really do think it was just gas.

at first there little smiles are just reflexes but once they are around 2 months the y will begin the social smile and smile back at you, its adorable. congrats on baby!

could be anytime now. my daughter was about 1 week old when she started smiling when we would tickel her cheeks.

Smile at your baby son a lot, you might even tickle his feet a little. very gently and for a short time. Have you seen the Baby on the Current Readers Diagest, and the that grin on the face to showw his  teeth ? Absolotley beautiful. See if you can get a picture like that as your son grows up......
