When will my case i-130 for child under 21 be approved?

i want to ask after a case i-130 filed on july 31 2007 and i have not received any approval i have submitted all documents and don't know why i have not been approved please help me, is my case still valid or what am i going to do ??????? also can i apply for a vise during this process....

You should have received a letter from them already at least acknowledging receipt of the paperwork. If not, then you need to reapply.

If you have a case number, go to USCIS.gov and put it in. You need to get a letter from Dept of Justice prior to your being able to an adjustment of status.

It will upon receipt of that letter that will determine an availiability date for a " green" card number
