  1. start using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth

  2. Hopefully soon.  If it doesn't go away in a few weeks or gets worse, you should go have them checked.

If the fillings were deep, you may have some sensitivity, but you can also get sensitivity if there were any voids in the fillings or it may be from other parts of your teeth (such as the root surfaces if you have gum recession).

If the sensitivity gets worse, starts hurting out of the blue, or doesn't go away when the stimulus (i.e, cold or whatever) is removed, that is not a good sign.

Sensitivity toothpaste may help, as the other person suggested.

  3. sometimes....2-5 wks.  i would recommend nothing extremely cold or hot on that tooth.

  4. Use sensitive teeth toothpaste.  It works great!
