Rather than landfilling, we can improve soil and crops.

  1. Now.

  2. Right NOW.

Start within your sphere of influence.

  3. waste paper is much better recycled to make new paper and paper products to prevent cutting down too many new trees to make paper

using it in gardning and farming is a bad idea since there have been many chemicals added into the paper and too much chemicals could kill ur plants

  4. We have eliminated most of the chemicals that are most toxic from paper, other than a few magazines coming from the USA. So we do not have the major concern about using it in compost that we had 40 years ago.

If paper becomes badly soiled so that it is not acceptable for recycling, it can be used as mulch, or it can be used to create insulation fibre for buildings... the mice love it.

Some glossy magazines  with a lot of ink represent a recycling problem and I do not like to use them for mulch, so they go for insulation.

Some papers will have a plastic coating and those are an environmental problem... off to landfill.

Most of the new adhesives are not a recycling problem, but deciding which will be a problem is a problem. We avoid sending paper with adhesives for recycling ( like envelopes).

  5. Waste paper is recycled.  It isn't landfilled.

  6. It already is in Permaculture. We use soiled waste paper and cardboard for mulching see the link below for a great explanation.

In France in the vine yards they use refuse, they do not bother to sort out the plastics they just lay it on the land as a mulch and it eventually decomposes.
