I've been noticing the amount of questions regarding the Packers and their chances of making the playoffs. It's your opinion on if you think they will or not. But I would like to bring up the fact that Brett Favre was not the reason/only reason the Packers were so good last season and even went to the Championship Game. Favre had weapons around him, that I truly believe were underrated ( their WR's got no attention, and still aren't). Favre saw just how talented they were and capitalized off of it. Favre himself stated the 07-08 Packers were the most talented team he has played on in his career. That says something in itself. The reason why brett was so good last season was because of McCarthy. I don't care how much you don't like the guy. He took over after Sherman taking a 4-12 team making them into an 8-8 taking them futher to a 13-3 team. Mccarthy sat down with Favre, gave him time and worked with him one on one. As a whole, the Packers got better. they have great coaches.
To rap this all up, the Packers are a lot better than what people are giving them credit for and need to realized, Favre was not the only reason they played so well last year. Favre had depth on his offense and a great Defense to pack it up. The packers had a top 10 D. As much as I would like to say Favre was the reason the Packers went to the Championship game last season, I can't. look at Mario. Great QB, no team to help him back him up. No Ring.
