I agree.With all of the techknowlogy we have now,I can not believe that we are just now seeing more of an interest in alternatives to oil.We need the protesters from the sixties era to come back and help us.People used to say a lot of bad things about that time,but at least they knew how to band together for a good cause.It's time the people demand changes,in our government,in our auto industries,in our immigration laws,in our justice systems.etc. I thought it was A government of the people for the people by the people.

Except for the folks at the bottom of the food chain, the price of oil doesn't make much difference, just supply.

People at the bottom don't have much of a lifestyle to change, and gas would have to go up to $20 a gallon for anyone to take notice.

At $400 a fill-up ... a whole lot of changes would happen.

"the government won't let it happen!"    People continue to live with their heads in the sand (looking for more oil?) until the end hits them like a rock wall.    Most people I've talked to haven't even heard of peak oil.   Those who have think the supply will gradually decline kinda like the way supply rose over many years.   They don't realize its gonna stop all at once, like this year heating oil is $4 per gallon and next year it isn't there at all.    Prepare for yourself and your family, then help out others as you can.
