When will qwest switch to verizon?

I was wondering when they were going to make the change so i can get a verizon phone.

Well, I am waiting as well. They have told me different dates, but I think it will be before September. They keep switching the dates, now they just tell me to wait for a letter.

Qwest, formerly US WEST, formerly Pacific NW Bell is a substantial communications provider.  They are based out of Denver and serve 14 western states.

Where I live,Seattle, WA, Qwest and Verizon, formerly GTE, general telephone share territory.  Both co.'s are in the area, depending on your location you have one or the other.

They do not cross service area lines.  I am a stockholder in both co.'s and there NO such plans for one to take over the other.

The answer to your question is never, well not in the foreseeable future.

That would create another Ma Bell as that would create a company the would serve over 50% of the lower 48 states.

It is this october.  I don't know what the first guy is thinking because they are going to be verizon.  You can also trade in your phone for one of equal value!  I am getting a new blackberry curve because of this deal!
