  1. I just graduated from USMC boot camp.  We had mailed our address home on the second week, and started to get mail about week after that.  So expect to get your first letter in the first 3 weeks.

  2. It will take no longer  than anywhere else.  Most bases of any size have a US post office on base.

Mail comes in, and if addressed properly, it goes to that recruit's  unit and is handed out at the end of the work day, 6 days a week.Mail is not delayed.

  3. In the Navy, regularly. If I recall (it's been quite a few years) the first few days are rather hectic and there is little time for things like sleep, and writing letters. I believe we got our first mail call at the end of the first week. But back then boot camp was 13 weeks long. Now it's only eight weeks long.m

  4. It takes about a day or so longer than regular mail.  It gets handed out at the end of the day.

  5. You should get it every 3 weeks

  6. You should only send letters. Sometimes this can take awhile depending on where you live. If your asking what time of the day, then you get 1 hour a day of free time most likely the time when they will recieve and write.

  7. It all depends on what branch of boot camp. They have to give the recruits their mail...that is a matter of legalities...but that doesn't mean they have to give them time to read their letters. But- from my own experience and what I've heard they will probably get their mail and be able to read it within a week after you send it. When I was in basic we got about 20 minutes on Friday nights to read and reply to our letters. Hope that helps!

  8. From when you mail a letter it should get to him/her in about 3-5 days.
