Question:

When will the Bruins win the Cup?

With all the Boston sports teams sort of turning it around lately:

Patriots..one of the elite teams in the league after never winning the Superbowl until 2001.

Red Sox...won 2 World Series after not winning until 1918.

Celtics..on the verge of winning a Championship after not winning for...20 years?

Bruins haven't won it since 72..

Does theJacobs family even care if they win, I bet they're just happy with the Celtics ticket sales, they get all the money from concessions and parking..so they're making money..they're happy.

The Bruins have a great farm team, but will that turn around into being a great NHL team?

...and yes, I am a homer. :]

  1. Farm team doesn't translate to success in the big show.

I know this is off-topic, but my beloved Montreal Expos developed many great players over the years who stuck around for a few years, then went where the money is.

ps Metropolit was super popular when playing in Finland so it wouldn't surprise me to see him back there.

  2. Just after Batman announces league expansion to Hades. Or in other words when h**l freezes over.

  3. anything can happen

  4. it'll be a while.

  5. Metropolit will stay

The Bruins have to change their style of hockey if they want to win the Cup.

  6. The Bruins will win the Cup when they beat Montreal in a playoff series.

  7. When they put a good team on the ice.

  8. That is a question that's nearly impossible to answer

  9. When they acquire some legitimate offense.  Their big problem is offense once they get some scorers they'll be a force to be reckoned with.

  10. There is no way to know. Their chances are 1 in 30 every year. That is about the best you can do in predictions at this point. We have no idea how their prospects will pan out, who will get traded, what free agents will get signed, who will get injured.... etc. etc. Not much you can do but wait and see.

  11. theyre a young building team right now, the nhl and ahl... we have kessel, lucic, sobotka, krejci, nokelainen, stuart, hamill, wheeler(July 1), rask, and more that havent developed yet.. Thomas is very inconsistent and once Rask develops into the future NHL all star that he probably will be, we'll finally have a great steady goalie... remember the days of Byron Dafoe? Kyle Beach in this draft would be great and we'd be one badass team within the next five years. Great season this year considering bergeron was out. I think once we get past round one of the playoffs we're going all the way

  12. With teams like the Red Wings and the young up and coming Penguins, it's gonna be a while.  I'm a Boston fan and have been a Boston fan my whole life, and sadly I don't think they are gonna win any time soon.  Hopefully they prove me wrong, make good moves and get hot at the right time of the season :( But for now be happy with the Sox, Pats and celtics!!

  13. ur complaining about them not winning since 72 the leafs havent won since 67 and there way more important then the bruins but theyll prolly win once in the next 15 years or so now that they have good goalkeeping and defence

  14. Once they get a solid goalie for starters...Thomas may be the one??
