When will the NBA's Oklahoma City team announce their new name?

It's only less than 3 months before opening day of the 2008-09 NBA season. I think the Charlotte Bobcats had their team name set one year before they actually started playing because they were a playable team in EA Sports NBA Live 2004, which was released in late 2003.

its going to be the thunder, its not official yet, but it was announced

The associated press released the announcement that the official deadline for the revelation of the team colors, logo, jerseys, and name is "early september". But it is expected to occur before the end of august. The team name is the Thunder, it was announced by team officials at a press conferance July 27th.

It hasn't been announced. It is NOT the Thunder as the first guy thought.

Not clear when they release that sorry.
