I'm a diehard White Sox fan but the Orioles are my "second favorite team" due to relatives in Baltimore working for the Orioles front office and due to Camden Yards being my favorite park.

  1. Cool, go WHITE SOX!! But if you want to see the Orioles in the playoffs, I'd say wait 5-7 years. With their pitching staff pretty bad and not too reliable in my opinion, they need a good pitcher, all they have is Sherril as closer. They need some top prospects and great draft picks if they want to overcome teams like Detroit, the White Sox, and Minnesota. Hopefully they can sign some good free agents  as long as they don't break the salary cap.

  2. When the Rolling Stones start singing Country music...

    Sorry,couldn't help myself.

  3. I would like to see the Orioles return to the play offs after a long absence.  I go to their games & they do have a nice park & also went to games in old Memorial Stadium. My uncle is a fan of there's & we get together to see a few games each year.  Yankees are my first team but I do like the Orioles too.

  4. Never

  5. Well id say in the next 2-4 years, i am a orioles fan im from baltimore, and i go to games frequently. Listen people we have hitting, ,but we need  good power hitter, no one, maybe except huff to an extent  has shown consistent power this year. The pitching is where we lack, and is the main reason we have not been in the playoffs the last 11 years. If we can go out and sign texiera, which will be a free agent this offseason from the angels, whom is from the baltimore area ( severna park) would be a great adition, and add one or two good arms, then now were talking, but i mean i miss the good old days when camden yards used to fill uevery game and the atmosphere was great and people loved going to os games, but now they barley half way fill up, except when the yanks or boston come to town

  6. HEY PAPA, LOOK ALL I'M WORRIED AND HOPING THE ORIOLES DUE IS SWEEP THE TWINS IN SEPTEMBER.  WHEN IM AT THE GAME SEPT 12, FIRST ORIOLES GAME I WILL EXPERIENCE , I WANNA SEE EM FRY SOME TWINKIES.

I DO HAVE TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MIGUEL TIJEDA, HE A BADMAN.  I WILL ALWAYS RESPECT RIPKEN, MAN THAT MAN WAS A MACHINE.

    GO WHITE SOX!!

  7. When Peter Angelos is no longer the owner. I'm a Yankees fan, but I kinda miss the days when the O's were more competitive. They should be with a sweet ballpark (went once and it was fantastic) and a city with a great baseball tradition. Angelos doesn't seem to care anymore. He seemed more worried about the arrival of the Nationals in D.C. than he was about putting a winning team on the field. It hasn't helped that the Yankees and Red Sox have pretty much become a division unto themselves (this year notwithstanding with the emergence of the Rays). He has to get good baseball people in there or he has to sell the team to an owner that really cares about winning.

  8. Umm.... probably never. They suck.

  9. Sorry, I dont think so. But they probably will be in a couple years =]

  10. Offensively they have shown they can compete, but as with most teams, they are starving for pitching. If in the off season they can acquire a couple of quality arms, I can see them competing next season.  In fact I kind of had thought in the back of my mind at seasons start, that they would step it up this year. With 44 games remaining and their poor record within the division, despite anything being possible, I dont think  their chance of a WC is likely and will have to do their thing in off season for next.

  11. I will give them a couple more years before they become a contender again.

  12. I'll say in about 27 years
