When will the broadway show Wicked end in Los Angeles?

Simple question - I'm always hearing on the radio that this summer (2008) is the last time to catch Wicked at the Pantages Theatre. What's up with that?

Is it just some marketing scheme or is it true?

I believe it is closing there in the fall or winter of 08/09 I wanna say December. The show is moving up to San Fran.
