When will the horse racing fixtures for 2008 be announced?

heading to scotland in february and would like to go racing. but can't find fixtures anywhere

  1. Cannot imagine why anyone would want to go to Scotland at any time, let alone in the winter!!!!! Anyway to answer your question best as one can at this time of the year. here goes:-

    Racing Meetings TEND to be run at about the same time each year, so what happens this year, tends to happen next year.

    In Scotland fixtures in February was only Sat 10th AYR for National Hunt racing.

    If you want to include the pretend racing on a pretend surface then Mussleborough raced on the 4th (Sun) 14th (Wed)..

    So pretty slim pickings I am afraid.

  3. They are usually out in late July. Last years fixtures were announced on 20th July 2006. Not much on in Scotland in winter though, too cold !

  4. The National Hunt  fixture list is still being finalised for early 2008, it should be out in about August.

    At that time of year the only racecourses you will be able to visit in Scotland will be Ayr, Kelso, and Musselburgh, as Hamilton is a flat racing course and Perth only race during the summer.
