Wish i was there. I could use a new television. Let's see how the Louisiana townsfolk do compared to the folks in Iowa who were flooded this past summer. Lets see: no looting occurred in Louisiana and the townsfolk pulled together and quickly put the citys and towns back together without crying and demanding government assistance and handouts. On an olympic scale I'd give them a perfect score of 10.0. Well, we'll have to see how Louisiana does. How does everyone else think Louisiana will handle the impending flooding from Hurricane Gustav? Will there be looting? Will the scream and cry and say that the government owes them? Will they blame others for intentionally flooding their city? Who will get the blame for the dams bursting this time? and Where's FEMA?

  1. I predict there will be lots of looting, and there will be plenty of people looking to make a quick buck from the government and blame it for all their mishaps. Could you pick me up a new tv as well??? I would prefer an LCD above 40 inches please.

  2. Those Citizens(a Chosen Hundreds) not only looted, vandalized,Collected money on houses they never even owned. They hopped State to State and put in claims for properties they didn't even own.Getting thousands of dollars over and over. When rescuers were pulling people out of their homes, the neighbors were coming in right behind them and robbing them blind.Who knows how many Millions were given out in assistance to relocate the same family, just a different member. they learned how to work the system real good. It gave the real victims such a hard time to get help once the idiots in FEMA caught on to what they were doing. But really i can't blame FEMA totally because who would think people's greed could be that strong to hurt your fellow citizens. FEMA was blind sided. They felt sorry for everyone and probably could not fathom people could go that low. They weren't robbing stores for baby formula, they were running out with liquor. I seen it on TV with my own eyes.God works in mysterious ways! You know that song "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"? I think he made a little turn to the right for awhile.I'm not blaming the real hard working victims of Louisiana,They were probably so embarassed. My heart goes out to them. And you are right you didn't hear all that pissin and moaning out of Iowa. They held their heads up high and worked together to put their Towns back together.

  3. If they were smart,  They'd loot everything now BEFORE the goods get damaged and they can carry it out  of town with them now  For the ones that DO leave this time.  But if I remember correctly......I'm pretty sure those "temporary trailers"  there all living in now  are equipped with floatation devices so there shouldn't be any reason for too many of them flee.  And thanks for noticing My state of Iowa and how well we put things back together .  I do have to admit that there were some katrina victims that came all the way up to cedar rapids just to help us out So GOD bless them.  ( I'm not so sure they didnt come up here to see what kinda "looting" opportunities may arrise.

  4. I know exactly what you mean the Iowa did take care of themselves, I believe Louisiana should be able to do better if for no other reason having katrina as an example.

  5. I have friends in that area that are supposed to evacuate tomorrow. They are afraid to leave their home for fear of what the looters will do once they know no one is there.

I would guess they will behave the same way they did the last time.
