  1. i dont know.i never relised they did that till i saw somthing on camebell live.

They should get rid of it,im a student ,and it hurts like h**l to shop.

england doesnt have it,so why do we? theres no need to tax the basics that everyone needs.

increase tax on alchol, ciggarets, fast food, soft drinks...

when milk is more expensive then a soft drink you know somthing is wrong.

  2. sorry to hear that

but I expect it will stop taxing at 12.5% when they put it up to 15%

Sorry, my opinion doesn't bring good tidings

  3. The New Zealand government will not stop its ridiculous taxes until we the common citizen band together and say "enough". An army and police force is useless if they kill and/or imprison all their underlings, that's why getting a large group of people together often works. Unfortunately so many people have lost faith in the system that they don't really care about anything other than thier personal situation nowadays let alone what taxes are imposed on them. As long as they can still live relatively comfortable lives they're happy... enough. In fact a lot of people don't even know about the taxes put on food and other items, they don't really care either, I didn't know or care until recently. To make a change a certain layer of ignorance must be broken through, and much inertia on the issue must be overcome. In order to even protest you would need thousands of people who were passionate and energetic enough to picket after a hard day, or week, of slaving away the best hours of the day at work just to put a few measly pork chops on the table. Our system of interdependence simply doesn't leave much room for protest you see, if the butcher puts down his knife for a week the baker starves to death because he doesn't have any meat for his pies and the candlestick maker goes with him, so not only is the butcher in the dark, he can't cook his food either so he too starves. Then there is the force imposing taxes on all of them, kind of like parasites you see, agents that really do nothing for thier money, and try to make sure that none of them has time to learn the other's trade. It's quite clever. I'll tell you one thing you can do to avoid ridiculous taxes on food if you're suffering for it though, grow a vege garden in your back yard if you have one. You won't have to buy any over-priced fresh produce, and you'll have more money for milk and cheese. The government hasn't made that illegal yet at least. Alternatively you could co-operate with someone who has thier own back yard/large piece of land. It's a good idea to become self sustained and to trust no third party when you trade, or you'll forever be the helpless victim of the web of interdependence and its politics (poly meaning many, tics meaning the blood sucking creatures).
