  1. I have had two kids and torn both times (each time worse than the time before), I found that by 2 weeks post delivery the stitches were gone, but the scar tissue was still sore. With in a month and faithfully doing pelvic floor exercises it was nearly normal (I said nearly), but it takes time and some women need more time than others. If your gina still hurts when you have your six week check, tell your Doctor they will want to have a look and see how you have (are) healed.

P.s. your gina might never feel the same again, but it shouldn't still be hurting with in a couple of months.

  2. Yes it can.

Did the hospital give you one of those squirt bottles and a can of that numbing spray?

If not, get some of that spray. Pour cool water down there while you go pee to help neutralize the acids then when your done peeing pour more water. After, spray with that spray. Keep taking stool softners too so you dont open them up again.

I hope no one was eating dinner or snackin on some chips while reading this HAHAHA

  3. hun, i hear ya...tmi, but i had a tear, but the opposite direction. yup, my vaginal wall, and labia. owie. you've got it easy! lol! jj! anyway, my midwife checked me about 1 week after, and noticed that where the stitches were knotted was rubbing against me, in there, and so, she just removed the knot. things felt MUCH better after that. yes, it will sting for quite a while! i had my daughter 06-16, and i'm just now getting things to be normal down there. the pain while peeing has been gone for a while, but i had some bruising too, so that hurt too...pressure hurt.  just be paitent. if it hurts for way too long (6 weeks or more) you may have an infection, and your doc or midwife could just give you an antibiotic.

the stitches should take 7-10 days to dissolve.

  4. Jaksiemasz!

Your vazhin will hurt for a long time - as long as it takes to heal.  The pain you feel when you make the river or the dirt is because you are having trouble keeping it clean.  You should be sure to wipe your vazhin back to front and your buttocks front to back.

  5. When I had my first, it took about two weeks before I could sit comfortably. No one warns you that the episiotomy will hurt that bad!   I used a squeeze bottle with warm water to help when I went pee.  It's totally normal!  It just kinda sucks.  I believe the stitches dissolved on their own. Congrats, and enjoy that new baby!

  6. is it illegal to say v****a.

  7. my stiches fell out after about 10 days or so, I think I actually never looked down there I was too scared too. My v****a felt strange for months! still does! its very normal! just get heaps of rest, mine felt sore when i was standing for too long and take it easy on the toilet

  8. Use the witch hazel pads the hospital gave  you (if you didn't bring them  home, you can get some at a drug store) and make sure that after every time you go, you are still rinsing with a mild soap and water, in that little bottle the hospital gave you. Also, if you have ice packs, use them. The hospital gave me special pad like ice packs that you crack and break like an instant cold pack to use....and sent me home with some. You should be feeling better soon! With my first it was a couple weeks, with my daughter, I didn't need one...so I got lucky. Hope you feel better soon!

  9. Squirt warm a full bottle of warm water EVERY time you sit on the toilet.  Then PAT yourself dry. Don't wipe yet.    The stitches dissolve in a few weeks.  And yes, the pain is normal.  It will continue to hurt for a few weeks.  I hurt sitting on the toilet for 3 or 4 weeks.  It gradually gets better.  Congratulations on your new baby.  And don't forget you can get pregnant right now, so even if you have a hormone surge and want to get frisky, don't.  Your need to let yourself heal.

    I didn't have an episiotomy - I had a 2nd degree tear.

  10. Obviously, I'm not a woman, but my wife had an episiotomy and it took around 6 weeks to completely heal.  As far as when the pain will begin to subside, I'd guess somewhere between 2 1/2 to 3 weeks.  Depending on the depth of the cut and if you tore at all, it could be longer.  The pain probably comes from the pressure exerted when urinating.  All of this is perfectly normal, though unpleasant.  When you look in the face of the precious little one - it all should be worth it. Of course, I've never delivered a 7-8 pound baby through any o*****e on my body!  LOL!  Happy motherhood!

  11. LOL v-jayjay. you're cool

you should feel honored he and i have the same b-day

  12. Most of the time the stitches are disovleable (i know that i spelled that wrong).

It can take a few weeks before feeling better. Are you still using your peri bottle that will help, also you can try a sitz bath, or which hazel pads, and motrin of course
