i would like to know the exact date the ps3 $499 80 gig will be discontinued please.

You mean old, PS2-compatible 80GB? There is no exact date on it's end, but it's already getting discontinued. If you plan to get it - do it now. Newer PS3 versions won't play PS2 games.

I don't know, but they probably discontinue the 80GB PS3 when the 160GB PS3 bundle comes out in November.

i think november. the 80gb has been discontinued, and the 160gb has already been announced. so the mgs4 80gb is only for emptying shelves.

The 80gb is pretty new, like hasnt been released in some countries, that how new it is so aint gonna be discontinued anytime soon, maybe u mean the 40gb or something which also is new. more info needed
