Guess what genius, a lot of small, medium and large business owners do make 250k or more and guess who the additional taxes will be passed on to....the consumers. duh.

Oh yeah, he said he would impose new taxes on the oil companies also, Carter tried that with disastrous results.

The government has enough money, it simply spends too much.

Don't believe me?  Over the last 30 years, the average increase in the government revenue was approximately 7.25%.  Not too bad.  Except for the fact that the government spending has increased an average of 7.5% each year.  Whenever taxes are lowered, the next few years see large gains in revenue as well as business expansion.  That is when the government grows the fastest and has almost always been able to outspend the growth.  

So, why raise taxes at all?  Leave the money in the pockets of whoever has it and let them make the choice of how they will use their money.  With lower taxes, people will invest in the economy which, as it grows, is what produces the greater growth in revenue.

Do you know how ridicule you sound? There is only less then 1.5 percent who earn 250K a year or more in the US. So where is the 3.5 remaining?

Instead of explicitly saying "I will raise taxes on those making 250K a year or more" which would have been direct and on target, he said "I will make sure that 95% of the population gets a tax cut".

That LEADS you to believe that what he means is that 5 percent, the rich, will get taxed ... wrong!

By saying it like that he does NOT specify any particular income bracket.

95 percent of the population is a vague number giving him the ability to tax whoever he pleases then say "What i meant was that i wouldn't tax 95 percent of the population ... making under 50K" (ie)

you see the difference now? you are being duped my friend. Obama is digging a huge hole for you and you are about to jump in with both feet together.
