  1. NASA flies the last shuttle mission in 2010. The International Space Sation will be serviced primarily by the Russian Soyuz spacecraft until 2014 when NASA is scheduled to fly the first Orion spacecraft aboard the new Ares series of rockets... the shuttle was quite the vessel, but I'm afraid its on its death bed.

  2. Sometimes before 2020 cause that's when we're supposed to use Ares to go to the moon and then maybe Mars.  As of right now, however, costs are prohibiting any movement.

  3. the shuttle will be retired aft LRO or the Lunar reconisance orbiter is launched by the new ares 1 and 5 rockets.check out these links below.

this will get you up to date

  4. The last space shuttle mission is scheduled for October, 2010.

  5. The current space shuttle are due to be retired in the next few (5 or so) years.

There will be no more new space shuttles.

Scientiest are working on new rockets to go back to the moon and maybe Mars, but they are having trouble getting the money from Congress, since we have far too many important things to worry about here on earth.

  6. Soon, In a few years. However companies like Virgin are working on making trips into space economically viable so that's probably where space travel is heading. (towards private industry)
