When will the world end? and how?

ive heard so many myths

about 2011 to 2012 the world will end

but i want to know y and how?

and maybe wen

i know we can predict things like that

but im kinda curious on what yew heard

OK 2011 and 2012 are out of question, thats way too soon. The whole 2012 thing is just whack, you wanna know why the Mayans didn't go past 2012 its because they made a calendar for about 3,000 years thats why. The world will probably end due to the most reasonable cause and thats global warming. Why global warming? thats because its going to cause certain species to disappear which will harm the circle of life and also the fast that global warming will cause very harsh catastrophic events that would kill millions. When things like this will start to happen, well its already happening now but my prediction is that Earth will end in about the next 100 years or so.

Definitely the world will end once the sun exhausts the hydrogen fuel. The sun will grow into a red giant engulfing the earth......Armageddon

It was predicted that In 1972 ocean levels would rise about 30 feet.

in about 1982 a Planetry alignment would destroy Earth with massive earthquakes.

Now we are about to be aligned witha group of stars, and the centre of the Galaxy and this is going to crush the earth.

No one knows the time when the earth will be destroyed.

Ok, this is my personal theory. Keep in mind that i'm no astronomer and all the PhD's will probably come down on me like a ton of bricks.

When the massive star Eta Carinae blows up, going supernova, it MAY leave a black hole which will swallow up Earth.

I know, it's pretty simplistic. But possible.

2012 is merely when the Mayan calendar ENDS it's not a prophesy.

The Andromeda Galaxy will collide with the Milky Way galaxy in a  few billion years, and this could disrupt the orbit of the Earth and other planets around the Sun. However, despite this event, the Sun will eventually reach its red giant stage and the Earth (if it is still in orbit around the Sun at this time) is thought to become engulfed in it in about 5 billion years or so

I have heard quite a lot, and none of it from scientists.  This is just another of the doomsday predictions that have been happening throughout history.  OK, here goes:

The Mayan Calendar - Their calendar was done in ages or cycles and their years ended at the winter solstice.  The current cycle ends December 21, 2012.  They didn’t predict the end of the world, it was only the end of that cycle.  Their civilization died out several hundred years before the end of the cycle, so no new cycle was added.

Alignment with the Galactic Center – The alignment was supposed to be in 1998 (Jean Meeus, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997).  Because the sun is one-half of a degree wide, it will take the December solstice sun 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator. We will be 6 degrees off from true alignment in 2012.  This alignment happens every 26,000 years. The Earth has been through it 173,076 times and humans 7 times.  

Polar shift – the poles are moving all the time and we don’t notice.  A complete 180 degree reversal occurs over a period of thousands of years



Niburu (Planet X) - It doesn't exist. The Doomsayers predicted that it was to hit Earth in 2003. When it didn't happen, they just moved it out to 2012 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar.

Apophis (2004MN4) – A yellow alert for this asteroid (for the 2029 pass) was originally issued in 2001.  After more points were added to its orbit, they found it wasn't going to hit us and the alert was canceled.

The world will probably end in 4 -5 billion years when the sun goes to a Red Giant.  I hope this helps.

We can't predict things like that.  In fact, the world was predicted to end by nuclear war the Thursday before last by some church down in Texas (that has predicted the exact same fate three or four times before).  It was going to end at the turn of the 18th century, the 19th century, the 20th century, and the 21st century.  The Heaven's Gate cult believed it would happen when the comet Hale Bopp came around and they all killed themselves so they could ride the comet to heaven.  The Bible doesn't provide any suggestion of when and even basically says no man will know when the end will come.  Science isn't even sure when, but expects it will happen 3-5 billion years from now when the Sun expands into a red giant star and incinerates the inner planets.  In other words, it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, so don't worry about it.

i know you hear that science has proven when the world will end but nobody knows.the world ends when jesus comes back to get all the saved people.in the book of revelation god tells what will happen to all the people that didnt go to heaven with jesus.and the bible also says that even jesus doesnt know.wre just waiting for the moment when god sends his son back to take his children home.

Yes infact it will end/it wont every 23,000 years give or take a couple houndred the earth tilts on its axis. this tilt if it happens fast will have dire concequences and likely be worst possible. If it happened slowly say over 5 days time it will also be very bad no matter what were screwed and scientists have proved that the world tilts on its axis every 23,000 years.

theirs a great series called left behind by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B Jenkins. theirs a kids series and the adult one. but if thats too much reading look at the book of Revelation in the Bible. i know know one trusts the Bible anymore but all of its prophecies have come true and those in Revelation are no exception

forget 2012. just forget it. nothing is going to end the world then that wouldn't have the same chance of ending the world today.

as for the ending of the world, here are some theories. in about 5 million years, the sun is going to swell into a red giant, destroying the first 2 planets of the solar system, and wiping out all life on this planet. but i think by then the human civlization will either have abandoned earth, or will have gone extinct.
