When will the “Green Card” Lottery would start for 2010? ?

I have seen in the US gov web site that that the DV for 2009 has closed for entries. When will 2010 would start? Is it worth applying for this?

Depends the start dates vary. Before you get your hopes up thought you should check their list of what countries are still eligible since they have blacklisted a lot of countries from participating due to an over abundance of people from that country.

The Green Card Lottery was designed to promote diversity so thats why they bar certain countries such as the Philippines, Mexico, China etc from participating since there are so many Chinese, Mexicans, and Filipinos already in the country.

There are always rumors that they don't have it anymore... But usually the application is from the beginning of October till the beginning of December. So the next one should be in 2008 October... Whether it's worth applying is up to you to decide. If your intention is to live in the USA permanently, than I would recommend it. Though be aware - the application is free of charge! There are several sites which are trying to represent themselves as the official site for the Green Card Lottery and charging for using them.
