  1. How about a debate about mass

    de-portation from the UK ??

  2. prob lay never - the government be it Labor ot the Torrie's - they wont question it until civil war breaks out - trouble is they will not listen -  and what will happen when the country is divided - we can only save ourselves no one else can

  3. Better to ask when will there be an open debate over mass emigration.

  4. never - it's impossible to do so without being called a racist.  Very odd but this is Great Britain.

  5. I don't think there can be a reasoned debate on this when the right wing tabloids and mainstream politicians play the race card at every opportunity.

The immigration debate: I think immigrants can be split into two groups:

    Asylum Seekers:

Did anyone see Jerry Springer trace his family tree last night? If it was not for the UK's fairly humane policy of allowing Jews (albeit only those with money) to escape the horrors of n**i Germany and enter the country, his entire family would have been wiped out. (source 1)

An extreme example, but we have a responsibility to care for a fair share of those fleeing torture and violence, especially (such as Iraq) where we are partially responsible for their situation.

    Economic migrants

I think these actually benefit the economy in many ways. They are skilled workers, with few dependants and are of working age. The demographics of Britain's own population is growing older so we need more people paying taxes so that our pensions are covered. I think it is a myth that immigrants have it easy here - if anything they tend to be exploited very heavily, and are often stuck in low paid jobs.

People will say that this is all very well, but we can't have everybody coming here - to which i would reply why would they? Conditions in Britain are not exactly perfect under New Labour. A lot of recent immigrants are actually leaving the country when they discovered it was not all it was cracked up to be.

But they are forcing higher council taxes on us, as councils struggle to make ends meet. Then we should unite with them to campaign for lower council taxes for everybody, just as we defeated the poll tax in 1990.

Immigrants are no different from you or me. They just want a decent standard of living for themselves / their family. Multiculturalism teaches us tolerance and enrichens our lives. At the end of the day we are all people.

Reasoned debate? Not until politicians are brave enough to ignore the racist bleatings of the Daily Mail, Express and Sun. Not everyone is taken in by the right wing propaganda  though - see source 2. The press only encourages far right parties, such the BNP, who would divide us on race grounds so that we would be unable to fight back effectively against cuts to our services. We need immigration and it is healthy for our society.

  6. there will not be a vote over this

you have to remeber all the immigrants get to vote too

and they want to ship all their relations here too

how do you think they will vote.

its too late for any vote

  7. Not whilst the politically correct rule and it is possibly too late. Enoch Powell's forecast may yet come true late but true

  8. I think the  "mass debaters" of the BBC have a big share of the blame. The BBC's promotion of multiculturalism is  fanatical and helps keep the real British conditioned into not objecting .

Previous immigration to the UK was small numbers of sophisticated military and European people. Now we have massive numbers of desperately poor people from Middle Eastern and African and other countries who are irrevocably changing the UK against the wishes of the real British. Our jails , hospitals and schools are overstretched  because of mass immigration and some of us can see this despite the information being deliberately played down. I want to help these people too; however not by bringing the population of  Africa and Islam and other countries to the UK

In this climate an open debate is difficult and unlikely, so will probably  not happen

  9. When the Tories get in; which will be in less than 2 years now.

  10. I guess there will never be a debate, not now that the PC (Political Correctness) Brigade are around...

Diversity is in....Freedom of speech is out....what is the world coming to?

  11. The damage there is done.
