  1. Microsoft rarely advertises its OS on TV. They choose to go after larger commercial accounts. If you pick up just about any computer magazine you'll see ads in it. I believe they are interested in talking with IT level people as opposed to the average joe on the street.

    Based on their market share I would say that what they do works for them and I don't see it changing any time soon.


  2. The advertised Vista on TV when it first hit store shelves. That was some time ago.
